I'm just saying that you're trying to explain how melting sand into glass is unrealistic, when the entire game is unrealistic.
Exactly, I listed several things about the game that were unrealistic. I was just saying OP's observation is a minor unrealistic feature, simply a mix-up of semantics. Rather than challenging my argument, you joined the same side and added to the list.
Well... yeah, technically it is magma, but lava is simpler.
And so what? In Minecraft, a lot of things aren't really realistic. Obsidian in real life isn't formed when water is over lava, it's when lava from volcanoes and stuff dries out without much crystal formation, making it glass like. (Sorry, I got carried away, I'm a rock scientist...)
So Chum8ler, even though it would be really awesome if I could drag a door round in my backpack and put it in water for air (which might work), I don't think it could work.

Wait wait wait wait wait! Are you telling me I can't make air bubbles under water by carrying a door around with me?
