Yeah, I noticed this too in my big mob spawner. It seems like wherever you placed and removed torches, it leaves a small bit of light behind. Not sure if it's just torches or any light source.
turn your gamma setting down, theres your problem !!
Nope..
This is a bug, place a torch, then remove it, it should fix it.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
you can tell from his pic his gamma is way to high
That is true, but the problem causing the rings of light is a bug. I've seen it several times, even in spots on the ground whilst in a cave near bedrock. It's some kind of glitch where light lingers, even after the source is destroyed. In this case, it appears torches were on the walls at some point.

Could be these...could be stone stairs hidden there and he's trolling you. Certainly a bug thread item if it is truly an issue. I personally have not had any lingering light that wasn't fixed with a quick torch swap....

No, I can assure you that is not the case. I've also never placed a light source down there. It's in superflat creative
I have been playing a lot but I have not noticed this issue at all. I have been doing a lot of building. That is an odd bug for sure. That really isnt gamebreaking though to me. It wouldn't bug me all that much.
