I havent been to the nether yet in my 1.8 world, going to hold out for nether fortresses.
That is what I was doing as well, but from what I read in the playxbla.com comments it sounds like the nether generates when you create your world, which doesn't make any sense to me, can anyone confirm or deny this?
What update is it that allows zombies to pound and break your wooden doors?

Alright think like this....whatever update spawn eggs came in on the PC meanings It Might and im saying it MIGHT be on the xbox update. Now they also could move it to a following update. But the thing i understand is if you know that Spawn eggs comes
within update ??? - 1.2.3 why don't you wait? Maybe they will add it. Maybe they;ll be problems...Just wait is all im saying...
What the heck happend to going straight to 1.2.3 or whatever? They talked about that over and over again.
They obviously decided that having everyone way longer to get all of the jump from 1.8.2 to 1.2.3 would be too much. They mentioned sliding in a smaller update as a possibility several weeks ago. Christmas present (that might be just a little late for Christmas) - although I agree with ubergine, I think they are very much trying to get it out for Christmas or at least before school goes back into session in the New Year. From a marketing perspective, it would just be very good business if they did manage to get it out for the Holidays.
They have been working on the update for about a month. That is not long enough to be finished. The October update was a big update. The November update was very small. The update before 1.8 (October) was realeased in July, so if they follow the 'pattern' the next update would be in February/March. I don't think it will be then though, maybe January.
Actually, we don't really know how long they may have been working on parts of this update. XP was originally scheduled to go into 1.8.1 and then they backed off and informed us that it would be in a later update. We don't know how much of the work was perhaps already done on it before they decided to postpone it. The bottom line is that no one outside of 4J knows how close this update is to being done; and there is really little point in speculating too much about it. It will get released when it gets released.
It would be nice to the update before Xmas but can't see it happening, i like the fact we will be getting xp points though and breeding as there is a shortage of animals in my world at the moment, i'm even finding it hard to get fish from fishing.
I think we will only go to level 30, It was said in another topic. But it's just a hunch.

So does that mean we won't get those high level enchantments? I don't know the name of them, But I believe there are enchantments over 30.
No, the enchantments are the same, they just lowered the xp level requirements for them, this also happened in the PC version (i forget what update it was in) mainly because they changed the way you gain levels (they put in a standardized level system, instead of it being very cumbersome by increasing the xp you need for each level, it does that every 10 levels, and then resets after the cycle)

Sadly.....There will be no Iron Golems, ocelots, jungle biomes and spawn eggs in TU7, they will be in TU8
But the Ender Pearl can be used for teleportation even when in creative mode
