Okay. Here's the scenario. You walk up to my mansion. There's an iron bar gate blocking the entrance.
What I want to happen is that as you are walking towards it, the gate goes down, and a single stairs block goes up. I've looked and looked and LOOKED for tutorials, but nothing. I've even tried tinkering around with what little knowledge of redstone circuitry I have. Nothing seems to work. I've built button combination looks, and hidden piston doors. But this rattles me REALLY bad. I can't seem to figure it out!
Some IN-DEPTH help would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm not good with all that computer lingo or stuff like XOR gate and whatnot, so PLEASE, keep the explanation understandable.
Some pictures would help, Also what are the dimensions of the gate you want to go down? My GT is Rushzer000 I can help but I'm not off work for another hour and a half.

Nevermind everyone. I figured out an easy way by tinkering around a bit more. The stairs are activated by pressure plates, and the gates (theres 2 iron fences) go down with a push of a button on both sides. I can try to post pictures a bit later, if I'm able to.
