Im having problems splitscreening on this game, i have my hd tv with hd av cables (hd component) and 2 profiles and controllers but i still cant do anything to splitscreen, when im in the world and log in with the other profile and than press start with the other controller nothing happens, any help any of you can give me?
Go to Pause menu>Help&Options>Settings>Options and check the 2 Player Split-Screen Vertical and try again if it doesn't work then i don't know what can be your problem.

Splitscreen supports both HDMI and Component cables.
You might want to make sure that your Xbox 360 is outputting in HD as well. Sometimes the Xbox 360 settings reset themselves or get changed accidentally.
I've used splitscreen on both HDMI cables and component cables, so that is not your issue. I've also had the 2-player splitscreen vertical unchecked and all this does is divide the screen horizontally rather than vertically. As long as both controllers are properly paired with the XBox and signed into the XBox under separate profiles, you should be good to go.
On occasion, though, I have caught myself pressing the center button rather than the start button on the controller so you may want to double check that. Also, sometimes too it has taken more than one press or a bit of a press and hold to get the 2-player splitscreen to start (just lag I guess).
