When I leave my character sitting at the collection point of my spawn tower, my Xbox turns off after a certain amount of time passes. Any thoughts on how to prevent this? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
You need 2 things to help stopping your controller go off.
Blue tac
rubber band
1st you need to find yourself a safe place to hide some where you can leave you player over night and not worry about being killed
2nd rubber band! put the rubber band over the 2 toggle's that are on the controller make sure they are tight once you have done this your player will start freaking out by going in circle's.
3rd the blue tac stick it on hard over the Jump button! make it so the player keeps on jumping over and over.
Basically you need to make sure the controller does not switch off if it switches off the game switches off.
AND if all else fails go to sleep holding the jump button
Or, the simplest thing of all, he could just plug the controller in...
And the point to collecting overnight would be? The leaderboards are not really a deciding factor anymore, pointless on that end. Plus, that is some crazy stress put on the xbox for no reason at all, you trying to kill your machine sir?
My mob spawner on my survival world runs whenever I am online, I do not turn it off via torches so there really is no need to leave my 360 on all night to collect since I get hundreds of drops each day I play. You should just run by your spawner every now and then to get your stuff.

If the mob spawner is built correctly, your inventory will be full within an hour or two, and you'll lose anything else after it times out in five minutes. Not worth the possibility of skragging an X-Box, if you ask me.
if you got your mob spawn tower set up correctly you really dont need to stand there all night, unless your after leaderboard scores, then its kinda cheating
just saying !!
Oh the wrong information...
Using a mob spawner (grinder/trap) is NOT cheating, it is part of the game, just because some are smarter than others and use nonconventional methods to gain kills does not make it cheating.

he means getting drops from the trap to boost his leaderboard score. not the spawner itself
