Alright so I got like 6 music disks so far (and gotten legitimately didn't use creative to get them I'm so proud of myself). But the odd thing is that yesterday they were playing just fine except for like two of them. Now none of them are playing or stating that little info when you put them into the Jukebox. Any idea what could be causing this issue?
I've never heard of this happening, but then again I never mess with jukeboxes or music discs. It sounds like a glitch though, you can report it in the thread below:

Maybe corrupted jukeboxes? I know standard blocks can corrupt, so maybe workable items such as crafting tables, furnaces, note blocks, and jukeboxes can too?
Sorry, forgot to add that the remedy is to simply destroy them and then replace.

Yeah tried moving it to different spaces like 4-5 times already worked once but stopped and hasn't worked yet again. So I suppose I'll make a thread or w/e in the bugs section like somebody mentioned.
On that save have you ever played splitscreen. I play with three other guys and for some reason none of them can play music. I have not had an problem though but I am paly as player 1 and i created the save so i gues that makes me the 'host' then. It did work for them though intell the third guy joined. ( only tried green and gold disc wich were first out so maybe the newer discs could have some issues)
urm silly answers but you do know once they come to the end of the record you have to take them out and put them back in to play again....
alternatively turn the sound up
Is it normal to be able to only hear them within 15 blocks? If so that needs to be fixed.
This is an intended feature. Think about how a jukebox works in real life. When you're a good distance away from the speakers, you don't hear the music.

The problem is that 15 blocks isn't very far at all. It's more of an issue with note blocks when you try to create a longer song or if the note blocks have to be far away from each other.
Currently, on the PC version, you can hear notes from 47 blocks away, substantially more than the 360 version.
I recreated FVDisco's 8 Track Sequencer on the 360. for it to work properly, you need to be able to hear all the notes while standing anywhere on the central platform. The outermost blocks are just out of range so you can't hear them from anywhere on the platform (which means it's impossible to hear every note at the same time, defeating the purpose of the sequencer). And I'm sure there are some near the top and bottom you can't hear either.
So far, the sequencer device is finished. I only have about half the note blocks placed. I had a friend help me place them and as soon as I realized you couldn't hear all the blocks while standing on the platform, I just stopped. Lastly, I plan on creating a giant box to surround it, and hopefully make it look sort of like a music box.
ANYWAY, I'm just explaining why I'm so hard pressed to figure out if they'll increase the note block range or not, because I need to know if I should finish the project or scrap it.
Thank you! I'm SO glad someone else noticed this. I hope more people bring this to 4J Studio's attention.

I love it!
Finish it, it's beautiful.
If you have trouble with sound have the player pushed by pistons onto new platforms, and/or add water to push as well.
Or just have a minecart system.

Sorry, I've never messed with note blocks/jukeboxes to realize the area of effect is so much larger in the PC version. The good news is that it probably came from an update, meaning we will probably get it in the next update as well. Several features in MCXBLA are not complete when compared to their MCPC counterpart, redstone for example. Just do what I do, build something (not expecting it to work properly) and wait for the update which makes it functional.
Just as a side note, I'm quite familiar with disco_, his work never ceases to amaze me. I'm particularly fascinated by his redstone games and bosses. His musical builds are amazing too, I guess I just don't have as much of an appreciation for them.

I'm pretty sure the sound was increased during an update on the PC version, I'm just not sure which update. I can't remember if the sound range was upped before or after pistons were added.
I think you're right though, but I would still love confirmation from 4J if possible just to b certain. : )

15 blocks is way to small. I dont know anyone that stays in place for long enough to hear a whole song. 15 blocks is way to short. I would say at least 50 so people can actually work and hear it.
Also minecraft isnt real life. I wish I was in that kind of shape where I could mine thousands of block a day without dropping dead.

Well I think the update for sound was 1.9 so maybe that will get us to a decent sound when 1.2.3 comes out. That would be pretty cool in my opinion. I really want to hear those discs while I work on stuff.
