Well... those were implemented in I believe 1.1. Soo... We will get them in 1.23...

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
We don't know that they will be implemented then. Only 4J could tell us that.
It technically was an inference. I had figured that would be obvious. Sorry if it wasn't.

Wasn't trying to be snarky, but 4J hasn't been adding everything, for example XP. Just didn't want people to expect something that hasn't been confirmed.

Yeah, that makes sense. XP wasn't added because it had no use, so doesn't really make sense for XP.

Oh I know, just an example of something that wasn't added yet, but will be later.
Yep..... Now, I have nothing to say.

Hopefully if they do add ambient sounds, they'll give you an option to turn them off. They're a pain in the butt in my opinion and I don't really miss them. : /

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch.
Ambient sounds have been around forever.... before alpha even!
Er, no. I've been playing mc since the end of classic. I have ever heard them until like 1.1 or something,

Cave sounds were added in alpha 1.0.3 on July 6, 2010.
I believe the reason why they don't work is because of the lighting calculation in multiplayer, and since Xbox worlds run under SMP logic, they don't work. This bug used to be on PC, it wasn't fixed until the anvil file format was added, where light is calculated by the client.

Didn't realize that the PC even had ambient sounds. Something to look forward to.
