Okay, so I've been playing MC360 for a long time, and whenever I play a game with my friends, we have different opinions on how games should be run. My friend K thinks that the game owner should be considered a "King", and you bow down to him and praise him. My other friend T thinks it should be run as communism, like everyone gets an equal share of everything, iron, diamond, food, etc. And I believe that it should be that you make what you make, and you live with it. I just want to know, what does the rest of the world do for, if i may say, Minecraft Politics.
When playing in a group, I'm prepared to play it pretty much any of those ways (and several more I can think of); but I don't like it when individuals inside a world try to change the politics of that world as they go along. I like it best when those things are agreed upon before the world is created and the "rules" for that world posted on signs near the initial spawn point.
I'm sure I've seen some threads about this sort of thing before, more in-depth ones at that too!
Such as going into what should be considered as a 'value' like gold for example, in order to determine who is the richest or something. Sounds like your friend who wants to be the 'King' would fit into that just nicely anyway!
The richest isn't always (if ever) the best leader. Dupe glitches are still in existence ya know
Just be calm and set up decent rules without many boundaries. Give them freedom!
I do give freedom, don't get me wrong, We don't run games like tyrants, but it is a problem when my friends fight about priviledges and rights, and I don't take sides, but I need help trying to create equality for all. Btw, I don't mean to be a approval horder, but can I get a couple approvals so I can comment more?
I usually force all my subjects to tithe all worthwhile materials to me (you know diamonds, Gold, Wood, etc.) and trade them a fair amount (1:1) for dirt with which to build their disgusting little hovels in the shadow of my great sparkling towers.
They beg for coal to make torches, but I figured it was more important to finish my 437-torch chandalier for the great hall. Let them deal with creepers and eat rotten flesh I say!

I've been in worlds where the host is king. I can tell you, it's not very fun. This should only be the case when a team is dedicated to one large-scale project. In this situation, there needs to be a leader, a manager if you will, to make sure everything goes according to plan. If people just construct random things onto a single build, it will most likely end up looking pretty crappy.
We usually share VERY early in the game, but then soon start trading. After a while & we've got a decent civilization, some people take care of specific things & we start trading what pertains to us.Currencies don't work out too well.
I like playing when everyone starts off equal all as friends but then it gets evil when everyone goes there seperate ways and makes kingdoms and griefs each other and u basicly have to pick a side on the best 2 pvpers in the game lol.

AcD is a very unstable element that stands for 'Austro Combustion Dioxide'. AcD is an explosive Minecraftian element created by the Holy Notch that is found in gunpowder. The old race of Creepers that inhabited Minecraftia were naturally spawned with large traces of AcD in their pixel stream. Long ago, when the Holy Notch created The Player, jealous Creepers swallowed large amounts of sand, the amount of sand they 'ate' was so large, it mixed with the AcD in their pixel stream. This concoction was so unstable, a hostile that simply walks within 1 block of a Creeper would cause enough anger to set off the time bomb that Creepers now are. Now, as modern Creepers are simply spawned with this 'natural' bomb, The Players have acknowledged AcD as a chemical element that causes a disease in which the afflicted begins to be angry and suicidal. Unless they meet certain requirements that are different for everybody, the afflicted will die a violent death.

I've seen it before. Doesn't help if the host is extremely minimalistic in terms of design.

Reputation =/= Approvals
The mods will look over your posts and approve them as necessary. Your reputation score is a whole different story. Mods have to look over new users' posts, just to make sure they're not just trolling, trying to advertise, etc.
If they are my real friends and it is not an online server I let them do as they please. If the server is online then you need some rules or things get messy fast but there is a balance to find:)

I thought it was once you pass 10 posts (on your 11th) you are allowed to post as much as you want in a day. Rep has nothing to do with it.

You can't have people join from another Xbox and have it still be an offline game
best way is to just let people enjoy basic rights and freedoms with the limitation that their actions do not encroach upon the rights and freedoms of others.
basically, just don't go snooping around in my chests, don't f. with my builds, don't steal resources that are obviously in my posession (farms) and TRY to lure creepers away from my joint if you get rushed nearby... but i know that doesn't always work.

That's what I was explaining, that rep doesn't matter in the situation. Once you have 10 approved posts, you no longer have a limit. It's a system used on many forums to help keep out the riff raff. A troll can't cause quite as much damage if they're restricted to 10 posts. Mods review the posts of new users, making sure they're actually attempting to be a part of the community, not just trying to sabotage it.

My friends and I all respect each other and nobody really "rules" our own game, or another's. We all have equal and fair input.

Perhaps he defines those real friends as those who he's willing to host in his livingroom to play the game offline with him in splitscreen mode?

otherwise, everything's fair.
