So yea just like the topic says I have no chickens like absolutely no chickens. Last I saw one was around 20-25 minecraft days ago. Anyone else had this problem. I had some before update 6 but now I have none. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it I really desperate for feathers since I can only get by killing skeletons and it has taken me quite a while and I only rounded up 60.
I also haven't seen chickens or really any animals at all for several Minecraft days. I've also thrown the few eggs I had collected to that point and have had no luck getting any chickens from them. Since there are many more and deeper caves and ravines than there were in former worlds, I am very convinced that they have all essentially gone underground and I'm going to have to find them and kill them in order for new ones to spawn again on the surface. I've been searching, but it does take a lot of time going through each of the many caves and ravines around my home base area. So far, though, I've only found 1 cow and 1 chicken underground. Other posters have reported finding many of their missing animals swimming far out at sea. This may be the case, but I don't have a lot of water around where my home base is, so I don't think it is the issue in my case.
I have checked the many caves and no chickens. I have eaven found the worlds stronghold looking for chickens. Maybe it is creative mode though as I used it at the beggining to make small bedrock walls since I play with a few other people and used it to make borders but I had chickens then. Really need feathers now i am battling to get into dungeons and my scout towers are useless without an archer .
Mobs don't despawn. Mobs wander too. They are probably far away. Just keep looking mate!

you'd be surprised how stuck the critters can get. I found this last night (I took the picture right after cutting a way for the animals to get out. there where about 20 various critter in that sinkhole.
