3 Simple Questions -------------------------------- Note: If these have already been said Forgive me. Im not the type who looks for seeds.... -Can I use seeds from the PC on the 360 -If a old seed is put in will New features such as Strongholds, or villages be on the map -Has anyone seen a seed with 80%+ Snow on it. Thats pretty much what im looking for. And theres a seed before 1.8 that has it but im not sure if it works.
I don't think the seeds are the same. Not completely sure.
But I have tried a few different seeds I found on another forum from some PC users but the seeds generated differently. I used points of interest like villages and such from the users who found the seeds to figure it out but I dont think they are the same though.
Also try that older taiga seed, the old generation will not be the same but you may get the same basic generation, lots of snow maybe.
The terrain in the seeds are the same, roughly. There are a few slight differences, but beyond that it is same. Well within the boundaries of the xbox, so keep that in mind.
As far as the generated structures, those will be quite a bit different than pc. I only know this due to Etho's Lab Map Seed # comes up with the generally exact same, but the structures were in a different location.
As far as mostly snow goes, I see to hit the random generation and get that quite often. The seed Thread does have some that are mostly winter maps.
I have not found many that are 100% exactly like the pc counterpart for this version.
1.7.3 maps mostly don't work though, as the generation code is quite different from the current version.

My PC was lagging very bad this morning casuing it to make a copy of the same thread
