Now you can do that in a flash with a superflat world. Just mind the existing dirt. and vuala !

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Lol. That's still nearly over 2 million blocks (862 x 862 x 3 = 2,229,132 - I took a block off around all the edges, since I don't think you can mine those)... and with a diamond shovel and a tenth of second per block, still approximately 62 hours of straight shoveling. (NB: I didn't take into account that the top layer would take a little longer being grass).
LOL. Technically speaking they would have mined the whole map so it isn't cheating but certainly isn't in the spirit of the original comment.
I'd like to see a screen shot from someone with a map that is nothing but bedrock!
Too true. I wonder if one of the many people that posted one this forum, stating that they were going to "do" it, actually started from & superflat world after the update, & claim to have started on & regular world before the update. lol (If that makes any sense at all.)

I just checked YouTube and Operation Bedrock posted an update just a week ago. Can't watch in until I get home though.
