As much as I wouldn't mind these type ores in the game, I would have to think what function would they serve beyond looks. Tools maybe. However I don't think those would be put into 1.2.3 update. Since that is for the most part laid out. Possibly after the update, but not guarantees on that.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
Everything they add to the game has to have a purpose for being there otherwise they would just keep adding the random things that have been suggested. I mean they technically could add giant flying robots that shoot rockets and nukes but would that really contribute something to the game? Aside from looks adding in new metals wouldn't really wouldn't do a whole lot in my opinion.
They should have copper for plumbing and maybe coins to trade with villagers when we get villagers.
