The next update is scheduled to come out the first quarter of 2013, and i was wondering will you be deleting your world. Since Villagers will be in the next update, they have to spawn in a village, and the blacksmith has to have a chest, meaning you have to delete your world. Also if you'd like to make your own ender portal, or find it in a nearby Stronghold, your going to have to delete your world Sorry if i brought anybody down, but please vote.
No, my 1.7.3 world never had a village, so what would be the point. I would rather continue to build on it as it is the primary world I enjoy building on. The next update does however bring more things I can do on that world, so that means even more renovation/additions than I already am making.
I do however plan to make a new world to in the very least have the new terrain generation, as well quite a few other things. Since my primary world doesn't quite have dark wood, and refuse to use creative on it. I want to keep the work load I have to do to build stuff. More satisfying that way for me.
Hopefully there will be more variety in terrain as I am tired of going through mostly water maps just to find one I like... I actually want land I can work with.
besides those worlds in the 1.8.2 version I have touched creative, so getting villagers and even the end portal might not be so difficult to get in. Quite possible that they will have spawn eggs for them, but it is only a possibility.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I'm definitely going to delete my world(s). I did so after each update so far, and very often I just delete worlds when I get bored with them after a while. Not going to start another "the world's too small" rant or anything, but there really is only so much you can do in the rather small worlds. And since my passion is to explore instead of building stuff (although I do like that as well), I'm starting new worlds pretty much on a weekly basis.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
Only if I could copy-paste my builds. Never, after 1.7.3, could I ever find another naturally occuring 'volcano' inside a very large mountain, that I could inhabit.
Nope I will be keeping them. I only have two worlds, my creative test world and my actual survival world.
I still have my pre-1.8.2 world that is working like a charm now with the bug fix. So I will keep these 1.8.2 worlds as some sort of nostalgia for when the next major update hits.
"Oh hey, they're going to update this game constantly, and every time they are going to update let's ask people if they're going to delete their worlds because I will be deleting my worlds."
Seriously, you don't have to delete your worlds every time they update this game. You don't have to delete your worlds at all. And you don't have to make a topic polling people like this every time an update comes out. lol.
I personally will not be deleting my worlds, except maybe a few survival worlds that didn't really get played much.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
Hell no! I love my worlds and I only have one per major update. I really like to revisit my 1.7.3 world and see my old building techniques and how I've progressed. Lol, the real laughs come from my early redstone creations. Omg, Its like looking at a modern computer somebody built that takes up your living room because they didnt know how to make it any smaller.
maybe, if there will be underground generation changes in 1.2.3 and jungles dont come in my world i will make a new world but i will just cheat and make a copy of my house of my old world and stuff, give everything i had and continue to play my game as if nothing happend like Captainsparklez did.

man, i have that same problem. i do have a creative only world i build on a lot, but my favorite thing BY FAR is to explore. i also really like the early game stuff. getting that first house, your tools, food, etc...so between that and loving to explore new worlds i start over so much.
Non-terrain features (i.e. villagers) will just be added to old worlds.
But I'll be starting a new world because of the terrain features they'll add.
The feature im most exited for (Enchanting) Dosen't require a new world, so i will still play my current world quite frequently once the update comes out. And i'm pretty sure villagers wont be able to spawn on already generated worlds. Thats how it was on pc.
I just started a 1.8.2 world....finally!.... The bug fix didn't fix the lag and rendering issues with my pre 1..8.2 world :-(
But! its been fun rebuilding on a new world learning from my mistakes and what not. Besides the cave systems in 1.8.2 worlds are freaking huge! Hopefully on the next update I can just go on from this 1.8.2 world...
I dont like starting new worlds. On my 1.7 world I had an awesome double zombie spawner that lined up perfectly and a couple floors difference in height so i made it into a massive zombie crushing trap!!!!
So much lost time.....

Check it out for awesome tutorials and constant content!
My own solution to being annoyed about having to start a new world when the next update is released is simple. I stopped playing the game, at least on survival. I will just wait until the update is released.

You know, you can have more than one

Don't you mean 1.8? That's when villages were added.
My creative world is actually named "creative test world," so...yeah.

Everything I've built and done can be rebuilt.
