So I only have the Xbox Edition and am starting to run low on ideas for cool and/or useful things to add to my base. I have all the basic stuff (mob grinder, multiple farms, slime farm, storage, etc.) but I was hoping I could get a few ideas on what to implement into my world. Please keep in mind that I don't really care much for making things that are just for looks and have no true purpose in the game.
Take some pistons and redstone stuff and experiment with things such as, doors, traps, and things that sets something off that warns when a player or mob steps on something.

What do you say to the god of thunder? **** you thunder *** *** **** ** ****- Ted Go see it
You could make a large barn where you could have your ho-downs, square dances and cake walks. It should include a hay loft that you could sneak the ladies up to for a bit of sexy time.
Most basic thing to do upgrade your small house into a massive house ( which I currently doing since I have just lived in an under ground sack for most of the time.) I building a giant wall, makeing a dock, pistion draw brige, My Mansion/Castle, shopping district and village in and around my house to make it kind feel a bit larger than just the under ground sack.
Build a flooding moat. *warning, will require a lot of redstone/repeaters/sticky pistons depending how big your base is.*
Basically you have your typical area dugout for your moat. instead of filling it with water, place water source blocks into your wall, 2 blocks deep, with a sticky piston in the 1st block holding the water in. repeat this every 2 blocks width wise, and redstone it all up to be activated with 1 lever to release all the flowing water into your moat trench.
personally, i have the water source about 3 blocks above the 1st layer of the moat. All the flowing water will help keep spiders from jumping over your wall. course the easier solution to spiders is just placing a stair block about 3 blocks up from your outer wall, but this looks cooler to me
you could use lava, but it just flows really slow and doesn't spread enough like water.

If the link doesn't work, type in "things to do in your minecraft world" on google, and it's the first thing that comes up.
