No i do not have a picture for the fact that i have nothing to take it with, but while bored i accepted the challenge to make an elevator... Ten minutes later Viola a elevator that only takes you up 10 blocks. Not that much elevating to do but it works with only a few glitches happening which i fixed somewhat. So now I aks how are these things so hard to make, or do you all want perfect running up and down elevators that are overly complicated and don't work? Note: my elevator pushes you up, pushes you over, repeat.

What do you say to the god of thunder? **** you thunder *** *** **** ** ****- Ted Go see it
Sounds like you made a zipper elevator? No, not too complicated, but nothing really is in this game. Anybody could do anything in this game because there are already a million tutorials for anything you might want to make.

Without the skin... Beneath the storm... Under these tears...The walls came down
Furthermore I doubt he tested it much with various levels of players within the game, and thus various levels of lag taking place. Elevators are HIGHLY unreliable, and can often lead to baldness, where you end up pulling your hair out trying to find a good solution to work in all cases.
The only design that I've found that actually somewhat works in nearly all circumstances is a design that literately pushes the player up a winding set of stairs, and even it will fail from time to time.

As long as it's perfect, we don't care if it works or not, duh.
I have an elevator on my test world and survival world it works 99.99% of the time (it only stops working it you are trying to break it, but that can be said for anything.) It's super resource friendly and can even double as transportation. It's a water elevator using boats with an easy loader, boat dispenser, and EATS road (which is as fast as a minecart) and it uses glass panes, stone pressure pads, any type of door, and water.

Finally, someone with a bit of sense. I never understood everybody's obsession with piston elevators. A water/minecart elevator is much faster, easier to build, and requires less resources.
Can someone here honestly tell me what they find so amazing about a piston elevator? They're the least efficient and most annoying to build out of all the devices built to transport someone vertically. Thanks to buggy hitboxes, they're also one of the most useless things you could build. The couple reliable designs I've seen are so slow, it would've been faster to just run up a set of stairs.
Aside from that, elevators are also one of the least impressive piston-based builds. So, it couldn't be a matter of building something just to show it off. I just don't get it. Why do people like these things?
I do realize it sounds like an escalator but it takes you up in a shaft. It took ten minutes to get about the first four pistons working and to realy start planning making it taller since each step requires giving all pistons enough time as to allow one to push you up another one pushing you over, but not so fast that the one it was supposed to push you onto doesn't go so fast that it cant put onto it. Also it seems to go pretty fast, since you seem to stop then a second later magically appear at the top of it. I read someone say "probably watched a tutorial" no I didn't since my internet can barely load youtube so I avoid using it, also someone told me someone else has probably made the same thing, before I put it on here. Which someone probably has.

Unfortunately, I've never been able to get it to work on the xbox version.
