curious as to why it seems like pc is getting updates, patches, and what not more frequently lately since our 1.8.2 update and yet we're still waiting on our patch. is this because we have to wait for everything to go through cert and they don't? it just stinks you know, we`re waiting with antisipation, visiting the forums everyday hoping and wishing it was ready or giving an exact date we`ll have it. instead you get pc update 1.whatever is ready or 1.whatever patch is done. Isn't the PC version still ran by Mojang and the XBOX version is run by 4J Studios? Hence, there should be no comparisons being made. As for the length of time inbeteen updates I am sure it is much easier on the PC to do updates since it is originally a PC game. Different coding for XBOX and more restrictions. 4J is doing a great job so enough of these when, when , when topics. It will get here when it gets here.

Bug testing is one of the, if not the biggest factor. Mojang releases snapshots, basically betas for the upcoming update. They use players as beta testers, and pinpoint bugs based on the feedback they receive. 4J tests the new version themselves, making sure there are no essentially game-breaking bugs. Then they send it to Microsoft for another round of testing, along with making sure trademarked symbols are displayed correctly. (X button prompts being the right shade of blue, etc.) Mojang are also developing for a platform with much more freedom, they don't have as many restrictions and limitations to deal with.

And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... For starters, the PC and Xbox version are ran by two completely different companys. The PC being updated by Mojang and the Xbox Version being updated b 4J. Also coding games on Xbox is a much longer process then PC coding. Also, I'm pretty sure 4J needs their updates checked over by Microsoft, when there is nothing stopping Mojang from imediatley updating when they are finished. Overall updating the Xbox is a longer and harder process. I find it impossible for 4J to update their version at the pace that Mojang can update theirs. Another thing to consider is we are not getting full updates that often. We get snapshots which are just small pieces of the updates that we can download and play. Secondly we are not getting full updates. We don't go from 1.4.0 to 1.5.0. We usually go from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1. Anyway I don't see the reasons that you are complaining. The Xbox version has plenty of content to support a few months before the update. Some of these people have to understand to enjoy the update that they have instead of asking for the next one so soon after they get one. Enjoy the game. Have fun. Don't keep asking for Updates. I appoligize kind sir, was not trying to make it one of those threads, I was asking out of curiousity as for I am still new to the game. my 16 yr old son was telling me about it a while ago and I actually thought the graphics where cheesey at 1st. but thats before I truely understood the aspect of the game and saw an outlet to one of my childhood favs, legos. it lets me bring out that creative side agian. so I ended up downloading mc..... um, I belive just after what 1.7.3, which was the pistons right? not sure, but it did have pistons and I remember getting the 1.8.2. so still new to all of this.agian sorry if it seemed like another one of those threads. and beside I read alot of your posts and replies nose_job and totally respect your knowledge and willingness to help others, even if you are a little blunt sometimes, lol. it's all good ty you for input.

You'll be all too familiar with them soon enough. I give it another month before this sub-forum is once again flooded with such threads.

s comes from more then 1, lol. lego is the company, when you buy more then 1 kit it's legos. or is it like deer. only it's a herd of lego huh lol. kind of like the youtube vids by the english/brits (not 100% sure) but they're always calling the nether "the nefer" with more of an f lol. we all have our own way of saying things. potato, tader, spuds lol

meh I've heard it both ways. Regardless, I can't wait to check out the bug fix!
I'm really not too fussed about any bug fix updates. Nothing I've experienced stops me from playing the game anyway. (Legos. . lol . . Ahhh, the memories. Anyone remember Red Venom, and Manta force?)
I'd much rather have an 'update', than a bug fix tbh. BUT I'm not in a rush by any means. Let 4J spend another 2-3 months, or longer, as long as it comes at some point in the future
Hmm people tend to forget we go through lot bigger jumps in updates than the PC version. We also havent had to wait years to get to this point in the games life cycle. I kinda like that the patches arnt coming out too frequently keeps me playing the game longer. I admit i found everything in the new patch in a few days on this latest update, but thats me being me more than anything else.

I'd much rather have an 'update', than a bug fix tbh. BUT I'm not in a rush by any means. Let 4J spend another 2-3 months, or longer, as long as it comes at some point in the future
They have fixed old worlds crashing in the bug fix update that came out today.
If you are reading about the bug fix, than yes. If you are reading about the one with brewing and XP, no.
I belive hw was tlking about the big BIG update lol, the one with xp and enchanting. but we as a group are talking about the fixes update.
I'm talking about this bugfix update, and according to that story, it's out! Cool. I guess I'll let MC go ahead and update next time I run it.
I give it 2 days, lol!
