So why does something such as a countdown timer work perfectly on the PC version, but implemented on the Xbox not work?
I understand there are not programmed the same, but push block A to point B, and power on/off should work regardless of how it's programed, unless of course there are glitches....
So will these glitches every be fixed??
Example, I created a Piston countdown timer, for some reason randomly blocks get pushed into spots where in the PC version wouldn't happen, therefore ruining the whole configuration.
This is the main reason I don't play Minecraft for the Xbox because of these dumb glitches, everytime I try to build a cool redstone contraption, something happens like this where it gets glitched, and requires 30min + trying to figure out if a block didn't get pushed right, or if a piece of redstone decided to stay glowing when it shouldn't have....
They're just bugs, and the PC version has them too. I build on a superflat world and rarely see redstone bugs. I think the problem lies within the fact that 360s perform horribly, not in the game itself. Yeah, it's a bit more "glitchy" than MCPC, but that's to be expected. It's a bit foolish to anticipate perfectly polished updates in a game that's evolving constantly.

Not entirely, its in like the glowstone project (or whatever it is called..)
or how pistons are slower on pc.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I play a survival world and notice the occasional bug or glitch with my redstone mechanisms when I'm building and testing them during construction, but rarely afterwards. Most issues are small, like redstone that shouldn't be lit, and are very hard to recreate. Usually however, I am playing by myself. I know for a fact that if you start adding people in multiplayer, and most people here can attest to this, you will very likely start to notice major bugs that repeat themselves. This is however due to the Xbox's poor hardware and limited capabilities, and not the fault of 4J's programming. I have built some larger, more complex machines and didn't really notice a difference in "buggyness" ( idk :P) from the smaller ones.
Nose_Job probably knows better than anyone here how well big machines actually do work on the xbox. His are some of the biggest I've seen and he seems to not have many problems he can't attribute to either a poor design or silly mistake.
One last thing. You mentioned playing on the PC as well and so I'm sure you realize the timing differences and problems associated with them that you can run into using the same build on each.

(Glowstone Logic) Those are intended future mechanics, myself and OP are talking about legitimate bugs. For example, he mentioned redstone being "stuck" on. If you study when this happens, you'll notice one of these redstone dust tiles will be brighter, as if the line is being powered from that point. This is a glitch known as a "corrupted block", the block itself becomes bugged and power is stored in it, for whatever reason. Even the recent PC version still has this problem, just not as often as we do in MCXBLA.
It can be fixed by breaking the problem block, saving and exiting, then replacing and saving. Exiting the game may not even be necessary, but I haven't tried it that way yet. I've only followed the fix I learned from a YouTube video.
Why not just destroy the block itself then replace it then put another piece of redstone on it?

I had a similar problem OP but now I have have a perfectly running piston countdown timer in my test world it is cNbminecrafts design that I did one change to. It works flawless now my GT is rushzer000 if you would like to see it

Countdown timers cannot be made in mcxbla. It will be at least 5 or so % off because you need to use glowstone logic in it.

Spiral staircase, there's your work-around to glowstone vertical transmission. Hell, you can even use torch transmission if you want. Delay outside of the cycle pulsing the control inputs will not effect your limiting factor at all.
I can think of three ways right now to build a countdown timer. It's the same thing as a counter, but in reverse. I've even implemented a counter in a CPU, purely through software. Not to mention I've built hardware specifically designed for counting, even used one as part of a larger build.
Many of you forget the issues that arose on the PC at this version are nearly identical to what you are seeing in the xbox version. IMHO red stone has evolved considerably on the PC, if we were to go back to PC equivalent version you would find red stone rather primitive again. upcoming versions ie 1.2.5 will greatly improve the mechanics to red stone, and pistons.

Retired StaffErr.. That's what I just said.

Not sure if they have implemented the PC piston update, as now pistons seem slower.
