I know that I'm just one voice out of millions, but I'm a great fan of your game and hope others share the same feelings, as well. I know I'm wasting this topic space against something more constructive or meaningful, but I cant hold back from saying that you have perfected the game-concept of my lifetime, in my opinion. I cant say that I have felt a greater urge to come home from work, undress my work clothes, and load up your game and proceed to play it habitually with my friends and family. Ever since I was a child, I had a fantasy where you could pop in a cartridge (I grew up on Sega and N64) and play with Legos on steroids in a digital universe that held virtually endless possibilities.
I always had the urge to build to my mind's extent, which reached much farther than the Legos and Lincoln Logs my family could afford. While I would save up Legos/Lincoln Logs to build a massive creation, I would inevitably destroy my creation and scrap it to build another. The lack of material saddened me, because I poured my heart and soul into what I build and wished to save it forever. This game had filled that void I was lacking as a child. I suppose technology had come a very long way from the 90s, though. I wanted to remind all children (years 8-12) possibly reading this topic that you have a great game in your hands. Building a Lego skyscraper can cost hundreds of dollars through Santa or your parents. Building so on Minecraft would only cost 20 dollars.
Again, I wanted to say, "Thank you". The 20 dollars was very much worth the cost and I have played more of this game than any other...except Sonic 1,2, and 3 for the Sega Genesis from my childhood...but Im working on that. I know I'm just one person of millions, but I will remain a fan through thick and thin, I can assure that.
Unrelated to your post but....yeah, I miss him greatly
It took me so long to figure out what you were talking about. And I miss him too.
OP: Though this is technically redundant, I don't care. This was heartwarming and if I read this, as a 4J/Mojang employee, I would feel very warm and fuzzy inside. I'm a 90's kid as well, so I had a very similar childhood in terms of gaming. If I saw something like Minecraft back when I was around 10, my brain probably would've exploded.
eh... It is a nice change of pace, or well better than some other posts that seem to stream the top 10 when I log in in the past couple months. So it is good to see people out there thanking a well deserved notion of the game's creators & others that help bring it to this console.
I myself am grateful for both companys working on this intuitive game.:D
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
The game is fun and comming from an atari 2600 kid, this was inconcievable back in the day.
Ive been playing this game a lot recently because im bored of shooters and taking a break. This game is so chilled it actually feels like im doing something productive with my time.

(Don't worry, you're not "one voice out of millions"…. you're part of the chorus.)
