Okay now i want to know if a X360 Charging dock needs like a different battery pack or something in order to charge a controller because i know it cant charge batteries. so do i need to buy a charge pack or something?
The charging station comes with a pack (actually 2 I think) that replaces your batteries in your controller(s). That pack will also have the connections on the back so when you set the controller in the station, it automatically charges. I find it quite handy.
Of course it can not recharge batteries.... You need rechargeable batteries for that to work. But like Geneo said, the dock usually comes with battery packs. O_o

That's the important bit.......The regular xbox rechargables DO NOT have the strips on the outside for charging in that dock. I have that set up, I find that I don't use the charging dock as much because only two of the seven batteries I have are able to be charged in the dock. I ended up going out and getting an out of controller charging station from Gamestop. I don't remember the brand, but it's white and green and charges two at a time. I've had it for three years and no problems
How much are those things anyway. How much juice do they have and hows the durability? Wondering if buying a regular battery charger would be better. Like this one that comes with 4 2000mAh AA batteries for $30 (free shipping) ----> http://www.amazon.co..._pr_product_top
