So, I have a world that I played on in 1.7.3, before the update. I heard that you can 'update' the undiscovered areas of your world. So, I went through and I was seeing really weird formations . For example, there would be a hill then, it would turn in to a completely smooth surface. And, it would also affect a whole area, making a whole spanning array of suddenly flat walls. I was thinking, is this the edge of things I have discovered in this world making the generation of the world glitch up and suddenly cut off parts of hills mountains and whatnot.
Edit: Sorry if this should be in the bug section (isn't that for confirmed bugs though?).
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
It is okay, happens to everybody. But I haven't seen a day we don't go without a thread like this.

Yes, but it wouldn't go to the bug thread. Although that's where any kind of glitch goes, they go there before they become a "confirmed" bug. This isn't truly an error though, (well, it is, but a forced one) just a clash between two different formulas for terrain generation. Using an older gamesave in a newer version of any game you're bound to see a few oddities.

Unless the whole world generates. Well, the physical part won't be affected then. But the visual part will be. (Precipitation, color of grass, temperature, etc)
