every time i try to load a previoudly saved game, my xbox freezes and ibhave to unplug it in order to get it turned
on again, i already tried the 'clear system cache' thing, it worked once or twice andnnow it doesnt help at all.
please help me, if i dont get this fixed im not gonna play minecraft anymore.... and i love minecraft
Ok, so a week or two ago I have this brilliant idea to put a signboard up to let all my friends know the laws of the land.(wait for it, its not the sign problem). Immediately my game started to freeze if I tried to load it into online mode, but was fine if I loaded it into offline mode. So I think "Crap, stupid sign bug blah blah blah grumble grumble." I took the signs down, but the problem persists. The only way I've been able to load my world online is to go out into the middle of my desert, as far away from my structures as I can get, and save it there. Its a GIANT pain in the ass, but, I can still play online. Hopefully it will get resolved in the bug fix.

Does this happen with the same game every time? Or does your Xbox freeze when loading any save?

If every time then file is corrupted. If when loading any save. You might wanna check and see if you are experiencing a RROD. Just make sure your cords and hardrive are properly plugged in and aren't hanging out.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.

I'm thinking corruption. RRoD can be ruled out, as the console can actually run the boot program, open the BIOS, and he can launch Minecraft. It could be an early sign of RRoD, but I doubt it, I think it's an issue with the game itself. If the HDD wasn't connected properly, he wouldn't even be able to sign in on his profile or see his gamesaves, let alone attempt to load them.

Yeah, the new RROD is called IROD now though. Because they fixed it by removing the red lights... (lmao...)

I heard another rumor that it just displayed a red dot on the power button. I'm pretty sure nobody's system has had a meltdown yet though, unless it was forced, or because of faulty hardware. The new 360 slims shut down automatically when the internals reach a certain temperature. I think for even that to happen would mean faulty hardware or poor ventilation. The new fan is more efficient, and the energy consumption is less then half of what the original 360, "Xenon" was pulling.

The Red Ring Of Death (or Invisible Ring of Death) is not a bug at all. it was programmed to happen when your xbox is in serious trouble.
WARNING; Side effects of seeing a RROD on your xbox may include:
Throwing your xbox out a 40 story building
Screaming
Choking
Flicking off
Throwing your TV out of a 40 story building
ALWAYS getting mad
Freaking out
Calling microsoft and raging (may include throwing a phone)
Snapping a $60 game disk
Being a retard and trying to fix it yourself (may cause more side effects)
Explosive bricks coming from your pants. (A big mess)
Who else knows.
A mountain exploding
Another earthquake ruining a country no one knows about till then
Ducks
Many more

Nahh, that's just because 360s suck horribly. I really don't know, there are a lot of things that can cause a console to freeze. If it had anything to do with overheating, it wouldn't freeze, a prompt would pop up on the screen, then the Xbox would shut itself down.
Also, only the "Red Dot" is programmed to occur for safety reasons, it's part of a program that the console uses to protect itself. The "Red Ring of Death" just lets you know you're already screwed, in case you didn't notice. It's pretty much just there to rub it in your face that the console is dead.

Have you tried loading the game with the XBox disconnected from LIVE (i.e. completely offline)? This was one recommendation 4J gave for old world's freezing. It didn't work for everyone, but it did work for some. IF it does load offline, then take that opportunity to reset ALL your chests and remove ALL your signs, then save offline and exit. (If you wait for the update, changing the chests and removing the signs may not be necessary, since the bug fix changelog does indicate that they have done some fixes in these two areas).
Reconnect the XBox and try loading the game again online and note whether or not it still freezes. If it does, take the XBox offline again, load the game and see whether it freezes then. If it does not freeze offline, then at least you know that the problem may be restricted to an online issue (connection/communication lag?). You can then consider checking the "health" of your network (e.g. router performance and bandwidth with your service provider). If the XBox is freezing offline, then try some basic maintenance things like checking the power connections and component cables and blowing the dust out of it. Doing those things may make the XBox itself perform just a little more efficiently and help to prevent some of the issues some of the time.
The game is demanding a lot in the way of processing power from the XBox. Paddy Burns essentially acknowledged that in an interview some time ago. So, if your XBox itself isn't running at peak efficiency, you will probably notice more issues with frame rate drops and lag and even freezing than other people whose systems are running at full snuff. I'm sure 4J are aware that people are experiencing varying amounts of lag and freezing and I'm equally sure that they are making every effort to code the game to continually minimize the processing demands that game makes on the system to avoid triggering these issues as much as possible... even as their task is to add more and more into the game as we progress through various equivalents of the PC updates. I think it's a bit of a Catch 22 - less lag and perhaps less game or more game with perhaps more lag?
on again, i already tried the 'clear system cache' thing, it worked once or twice andnnow it doesnt help at all.
