The void in 1.82 doesn't act like it does before that. Before 1.82. You will fall through it, it will freeze your xbox after 5 - 10 minutes. But on 1.82, you just stand there. If you place a block where the bedrock should be, that block can only be removed with TNT (unless obsidian / bedrock) or fire (only for flammable blocks)
Here is some pics of the void I have found on xbox back in 1.6 (Screenshot in 1.82 though)So far this reason, I call it, the floor.
What am I saying is that with the bottom bedrock layer not being breakable takes away from the possibility of:
true skyblock maps
Adventure maps that involve falling/climbing
and some other stuff...

This is very rare, the void holes ALWAYS appear in 2x2.
My thought is that there is at least 5 on every map.
It is really rare to find 2 next to eachother like I did.
I have found where 2 2x2s were attached by corners.

Very interesting. I havent come across this yet, but most of my cleared areas for slimes and such are at y12 soooo....I'm likely not gonna. Cool find Snyder.

Found this a LONG time ago (back in 1.6 - 1.73), but it changes with 1.82.
THESE void holes are on my 100x100x10 maze map (getting rid of for city, I don't like building the maze, it is too hard and no one has ever beat it on hard, by anyone I mean my testers.)

I have yet to see void...I mean like i really don't understand where it is? Can i find it on survival too or only creative?
The void is what is beyond the map boundries. In the nether it is all around you after the bedrock, in the real mc world it is just below you. If you go to bedrock, there are 4 layers, below those 4 layers is what is called the void. Nothing can exist there. Even if you find a void hole and put water there, it will stop after the bottom layer of bedrock.
On the xbox version you cannot break the bottom layer of bedrock, but there are generation glitches sometimes. Which is how I found these.
