Has any one created a multi farm?
I made a small one (20x20x20) that harvests watermelons and pumpkins with pistons. Very very useful. Get about half a stack of pumpkins and 2.5 stacks of watermelons each time.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
Ive got one in my current world snyder, except i only have a couple pumpkins because I dont find them as useful atm, I only have enough planted to give me a stack or so of watermelon. My farm is hidden and gets transported by water to my underground base.
Why yes I do. It has 6 rows, each row holds 20 melons. Atm I have 60 watermelons and 20 pumpkins. I've harvested about 3 stacks of pumpkins and more melon slices than I could ever need. Its pretty sweet, Its all hooked up to a bud switch and I can toggle different rows on or off.
Edit: Btw, Its disappointing to use sometimes with the small item drop limit. If I let the melons grow full before I pop em, 1 full row wont drop anything
I've thought about doing this, it would be nice to just hit one button and harvest multiple items at once. My current farms are very small scale in nature anyways.
I always make my farms manual. Dont you have to re-till the soil between harvests with a piston harvester? And for wheat anyway, you have to replant it manually.

I enjoy the peacefulness of manually harvesting my wheat and melons and stockpiling them into a chest.
If you have an automatic farm Steve might get fat.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.

lol, yeah. Its just faster to me, I sneak across the plots with seed in hand and just harvest/plant/harvest/plant for wheat. Never lose the tilled soil that way.

That is how mine is. I do not see the bug people are talking about. I use 1 button for 3 rows, no problem at all. Except for the 2nd row where watermelons drop on the line sometimes so they can't drop down to water.

I like to have mine with two rows on either side of row of water and about twenty long. The I have multiple tiers below it with more layers. So on one I can have wheat, sugar, melons and so on. I simple go to the top, crouch, havest, plant and then float down the waterfall to the next level and place everything in the chest at the bottom. Best of all I don't have to worry about animals or mobs destroying the soil for plants.

It has buttons for "planting" chicken, for collecting just their eggs, and for automatically cooking and killing them. Very useful, imo.
