OK, so after coming up with over 1000 possible answers to every combination of wording having to do with taking a screenshot of the map you hold in your hands, I got nuttin........
How do you take a screenshot of the map? I see them all the time in posts, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.
I use my camera without the flash. There are devices used to capture not only maps, but all aspects of gameplay. These can be hooked up to the Xbox or any console really. They cost money though. My camera is reliable and cheaper.

i'm way too lazy to whip out my camera and then upload the pic to my computer AND THEN upload the pic to a hosting site. soooooo wish i could just push Y and be done with it. >_>

True, but screenshots are mostly used for showing off worlds. It just wouldn't be as nice of a photo if it showed items in-hand as well. In the bug fix they added options to turn off the HUD and your hand, including items you may be holding. Since they've done this, it would be kind of nice if they changed the screenshot feature to show exactly what's displayed on-screen.

EDIT: Ninja'd...
