So Few weeks ago i got Minecraft for the very first time ever and got it for the 360. Well I decided to mine all the materials and stuff to make a mining minecart track to speed up from going from my house to bedrock for mining plus one to go from my spawn to my house that would also avoid getting hit by mobs. Well pretty sure this isn't the first time but have any of you been having problems with your minecarts just randomly disappearing all together after you just let them sit on the track for maybe 20+ minutes? Also anyone also having trouble where your riding on the cart and it just randomly stops for no reason? The part that just irritates me is i turn my back for a few minutes come back to my track and my cart is gone. Then i look at every part of it and its no where so then i have to make a new one all together.
Yes I do have the powered rails on the track with power from levers and redstone. There is plenty of speed to get the cart from start to stop (use it 50+ times a day without troubles) but it just randomly has a glitch stop. Is this normal for the Xbox version to do this?
I've never heard of carts disappearing It's easy to misplace a cart though. Mobs will happily take them for a spin. If they come off a track or take damage they can turn to sprite form and despawn after 5 mins or the 256 item limit.
I have seen weird things with sticking carts when too close to walls or other objects (chests, ladders, fence posts). I always make sure there is one block clearance on all sides, and one above and 2 blocks clearance on corners or vertical changes.

how do you know there is a 256 item limit? if you don't mind what is your source?
You know, there is a search feature on these forums. Pop in a few key words and find answers to almost any question - because they've all been asked before.
The 256 item limit has been tested and confirmed multiple times (all results yield less than 256 because there are going to be other items in sprite form somewhere - bones, arrows, wool, sapplings and they count towards your 256 items.)
Here are two threads that I found using the search term "item limit".
sorry i cant help you with the sticking minecart but i can confirm that mine carts are disapearing i have lost 3 so far pretty frustrating i hope it gets sorted soon
Can you reproduce this? I've never seen it happen before, and haven't seen it posted on the forums. I'm not trying to be a ****, I just think it's likely "missing carts" not "broken game" that is the problem here.

Yes I can reproduce this problem on mine. At several points on my track the cart will just lose momentum or just suddenly stop after it his a powered rail or goes up hill. Even though it has worked many times (over 200) it just does this for an unknown reason. Oh and here is a new kicker...at the end of this track i have it stop on a step with the powered rail. About 2 dozen times once i arrive at this spot the cart doesn't go up at all...just goes up the slope a bit then goes into reverse going back to the very start (200 blocks away). Such an annoyance...did not happen when i was doing the 500m challenge for the 360.
Add more powered rails. If you rely on momentum you've built up to make it up a hill, it may not be completely reliable. Powering every 3rd rail uphill will always work with you in the cart. To get the cart to move reliably uphill while empty, you need to power every other rail.
Actually I have enough momentum and speed to get through the whole track without any problems normally. But for some weird reason doesn't matter at what point in my track the cart will stop for no reason...all track pieces are in place, powered rails are hooked up and on...it even happens when I go down hill right after the start (start is on top then goes down 4 rails hits 1 power rail continues on 3-5 rails then hits 3 power rails) and it just stops abruptly. I would post a YouTube video on what I am experiencing to give better examples on what is happening but I don't have anything to hook up to the 360 nor do i have any cameras.

Only thing I can think of that makes
any sense right?
