I think they just need to bring out Minecraft in 3D already, that would be amazing. The world doesn't need to be any bigger on the Xbox, they just need to fill the land we do have with more sheep. I feel that is a pretty simple thing to do but the fact that 4J have not done this turns into a massive inconvenience and frankly it is starting to effect my ting capacity. How can I in peace, stressing about the fact that I have to walk around for hours looking for a potential bed considering spiders scare me and I don't want their string anyway I just want sheep (Not in a New Zealander type of way).
Haha ( sarcastic laugh ) funny NZ joke never heard that one before ( more sarcasm )
I think we can have bigger maps but only at the cost of our split screen.
Disabling split screen would be fine in my book.

A couple of months ago, there was a thread about disabling splitscreen to enlarge world size. 4JSteve make a post to that thread stating that eliminating splitscreen mode would have little or no effect on the systems ability to accommodate a larger world. This should have been a very moot point by now, but somehow it keeps resurfacing.

Awwww that stinks.
What if they increase the size of the world but some parts of the world act as if they're not there eg. No fire will spread there and crops won't grow etc if your not in that part of the world.
Like same render distance or loaded chunks but only the size of 1000x1000 around you is actual happening.
I am aware that this may not make sense... Maybe someone can understand and make a better description of what I'm trying to put across.

They are already doing that, only the distance is much less than the 1000 x 1000 you're talking about. When you leave an area of the map, the animals stop moving if you're, I think, more than 32 blocks away and, I'm pretty sure the trees don't grow either when you're outside that distance.. When you again walk towards and area and it gets rendered again, you can actually spot the animals start moving. When you go into splitscreen, the render distance gets shorter.

Indeed, and for some wacky reason in my mind it looks like this:
One of the greatest of all time, right there with Salvador Dali's of course.
