all my other worlds load fine, but im just going to rule it as corrupted untill tomorow, i will try and load again. if it still freezes, its corrupted.
I had the same problem yesterday, when ever I tried to load a map it would crash at the same time, over and over. I was originally trying to load with just one local player which was causing the crash, instead I logged in 2 local players and then loaded the map which seemed to have fixed the problem.

I hope this works for you too...
Interesting... the draw/rendering distance with 2 local players on splitscreen is reduced quite a bit... I wonder if that's why this worked for you.
This is caused by signs in your world. As a rule of thumb do not use any signs in your worlds until the patch comes up for 1.8.2. Generally you can fix this by loading the world in offline mode, but in some rare cases it occurs during the load sequence. Sometimes playing split screen in offline mode will solve this issue.
're saving' the world will work but it will happen again, the only true solution here is while offline mode is engaged remove all signs, then re save and tell all visitors to your world to not place signs.
I had this issue occur about 4 times, finally took the time to delete all signs in my world and havn't had the issue for many many hours now.
