I'm curious, will 4J allow users to upload their worlds to allow others access? The only current way I can see this for 360 users is to use an unsupported (by Microsoft) 3rd party program to rehash and resign a save as your own. I hope they make one similar to the game-type downloads Halo had.
Well it seems that as long as there is a centralized location for the "admins" to access the save data, it could be done. 4J, or possibly a contracted 3rd-party, would have to maintain a database with the saved worlds and user admin list. There would definitely have to be a limit to the amount of saved worlds per player. Host/creator could assign the admin rights as suggested by MatrixXBL, and then the admins would be able to download the world from the centralized server and host it. The catch is the world could only be played online, in order to maintain the save's integrity. Though I'm sure an option to copy the world for strictly offline play could be added.
I think its probably outside of 4JStudios/Microsoft policy to have some sort of official way of doing this, or well when you look at the current way of using 3rd party programs to access save files from the hard drive and edit the owner ID for allowing someone else to use it etc!
(sorry if thats not allowed to be mentioned on here btw D: )
I had a similar thought about something like this, or well my thought was if there would be a way to copy/clone an existing world so that you could have one either as a backup, or have one where you could go on in Creative and explore a bit, or test building something in a location before going it properly on the other world in Survival
They could use a system similar to trials evolution.
A lot of XBox games have had a user-created map upload/download feature. I would guess the hardware and software costs for the developer/publisher is not trivial, however. I would think the major roadblock would be the money, assuming it doesn't violate whatever agreement MS requires of developers/publishers.

Maybe make a new menu item called map downloads, from there the person can browse maps to download and play.
