I caught a sheep a few days ago and placed grass on every block in the fenced in area. I sheared it before I did this, and so far, no wool from it. A friend told me that he already has a "sheep farm" and they need a lot of grass to regrow their wool...Why isn't my sheep regrowing his?

Sheep dont regrow wool untill the next update. So you have to kill every sheep you sheer or else they'll just wander around naked and bare forever or until the next update.

I'm more surprised that you actually FOUND a sheep. By the way, I think your friend was talking about PC. Also, sheep will not regrow wool until the next update.

You can farm Chickens by picking up their eggs and throwing them at the ground. A new chicken will spawnwith about every 1/8 eggs. If you find Pumpkin or Melon seeds in abandoned Mineshafts or strongholds you can farm them as well. I got an area I set up for farming just about everything you can at the moment. Got a sugar cane, tree, wheat, melon, mushroom (Mushroom farms are basically useless since u can get more mushrooms by bonemealing one) and other stuff

Yeah you just have to wait for the next update..
