You must not have seen these features then. Kind of rough to consider fixing a very minor bug to be more significant.
The only thing glitchy about pistons are visual bugs and the hitboxes of blocks disappearing when they're moved in rapid succession. That last one isn't even directly the fault of the piston, but still relevant. I can't even think of one redstone mechanism that malfunctions because of this bug other than some elevators, which are easily one of the most useless piston-based builds.
I have have actually seen most of the features you where talking about and i was just exaggerating . The only new redstone changes/additions i'm exited for are redstone lamps. Pretty much everything else you listed is usless to me. Like the repeater locking thing for example, pretty much only people like you who build these giant computers will find a use for that.

Not necessarily, I just use all that odd trickery a bit more often. These features can still be used to optimize just about any mechanism. All of these things can be used to make a device faster and more compact. I've already seen an insanely tiny T flip flop made using the new repeater feature, and those are used constantly in survival builds.
Oh definitely enchanting. But im really excited about the bigger trees in the jungle and vines. Breeding is pretty awesome too but Enchanting/Brewing above all.
