I had an idea for minecraft:xbox 360 edition! sapphires that grow over lava, they would grow ontop of blocks next to lava. It could grow a total space of 2 blocks tall if space is provided example 1. it could also grow above a lava block if there is another block example 2.
L=lava S=sapphire B=any block
ex 1 S ex 2S B

Saphires could be used to make tools and armor beter than stone but worse than iron. They should only be mineable with an iron pick. They can also be crafted into sapphire blocks just like another ore block. The block could be slightly translucent and reduce light level only by 3. The light could be tinted blue. If crafted into a sapphire arrow and fired at an enemy it would follow you at attack the next mob you attack but will be always be hostile to you until it dies after it end. Maybe it could also have to do with another demension but gets used up in the process? What do you think.
