I think people who have PC version know what there is on that version and wish it was on this one. I don't know that for a fact, but it makes sense to me. I love the game and haven't had any glitches, but I have low expectations because I don't know what the potential is and what level the game has already reached.
To state that there are ZERO problems with the latest patch is a total exaggeration. For god sake, there's a sticky thread at the top of this forum with KNOWN bugs in the game. It must be nice to go through life with rose coloured glasses on. Congratulations on your perfect experience with this version of MC.
If it weren't for the people who bring attention to the actual problems with the game, this stuff wouldn't get fixed.
Nobody said there are no problems with the game or this update. People are just saying they've had no problems. There is a difference.
You're not an idiot, because some people never experienced this glitch because they open doors with something in their hand. If you open a door with just your bare hand, the door will not make a noise.
I guess thought that was what a discussion board was for discussing things like problems with an update. I have not been able to host a server since the day I downloaded the update even though I had it runnin over 90 days previously. I think there are issues but others say it is my connection or other things which I have checked over and over but it does not keep people from saying "it must be your connection". Then others will say I am having this too which was the point of posting. I think there are too many regular trolls on this forum that need to put their 2 cents in every post like they were forced to read it or something. Anyway I am done ranting now and also never did find a resolution to my problem since I got sick of hearing check my connection:)
No problems here, either. No lockups, lag, chest problems, etc.
how did you not encounter the black chests? if you had a world before 1.8 that had chests in it then black chests were unavoidable. It's not really a huge problem since they're still functional, but unless you started a new world the day the update was out without ever looking back you had to have seen the black chest at some point.
I started a new world and deleted my old one (no sense in keeping it, it's was a "test world" anyway).
Of course there's bugs, but nothing game-halting, like the lag and lockup people have said they've had. It's not "perfect", but it's close enough for me.
wait! i do get the no "door opening sound" glitch if i open a door without anything in my hand. but i hardly count that as a glitch/problem. o:
