sounds quite similar to kinect, although only slightly better... Pretty useless for someone like me though, whom by which does not have that kind of device to even work with that way.lol

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Since a player would have to put one controller down to use another on a smaller screen, vs. using one controller and big screen, yeah I'd agree SmartGlass is idiotic.
I could see it being kind of cool to view a map or something. But that's all I see it as, something "cool". In other words, a gimmick.
I don't often find myself thinking. "Oh man, I'm away from my 360 and would totally prefer if those snowballs weren't in my hotbar! If only there was a way to move items with my mobile look-at device..."
Smartglass Is not as good as you think. I've been messing around with it on my laptop for a day or two now. Don't know why anyone would want to integrate it with MCX360. Windows 8 is badass though.
I would like to see some SmartGlass interaction for Minecraft, whether it be the item/crafting menus or maps. Just because it seems useless to you, doesn't mean that accounts for everyone.
i thought smart glass in its entirety was a pretty massive waste of time. as far as i've seen all it does is act like another controller. initially i thought you'd be able to control things in the console with it like playing music or inviting a friend to a party or something without having to bring up the xbox menu mid-game, but thats not the case at all...

With all due respect, I think most of us would prefer 4J and Mojang spend time on features we can all appreciate. Time developing SmartGlass non-functionality is a waste of resources for anyone who doesn't have a compatible device or a desire to use it.
I have friends who bought the Kinect peripheral because it was new and "cool." But at the end of the day, it's a PITA waste of money. It is utterly useless as a controller, movies pause when other people in the room are talking, and anything it can do is easier and quicker using the controller in your hand. None of the games that require it are worth playing - they exist only as marketing.
IOW, just because it might be "neat and cool" doesn't mean it's an improvement in any way, shape, or form over what already exists. And there is a better chance it is a step backward.

And that's fine and I can respect your opinion if you can respect that not everyone shares your point of view or even mine. Just saying, we all payed/paying for the same service and we all have the right to voice our opinions, whatever they may be. I stand by my previous statement, "Just because it seems useless to you doesn't mean it's the same for everyone."
Well of course I can respect your opinion. I thought that was clear: "with all due respect."
Yes, we all payed for the same game. You want resources diverted to add value your already-purchased phone. Quite seriously, "WTF?" It's your phone, you pay for it.
Realistically, we have no beef.
Please stop trying to sell SmartGlass. If you derive an income from the technology, say so. If not, then stop trying to sell it. Nobody likes a shill. And nobody thinks highly of an unwitting shill.
wish it had a way to record gameplay on minecraft other then hdpvr heard microsoft is thinking of doing a app to record gameplay for minecraft to upload directly to youtube so they said in an interview
Here's the problem I find with the map idea. Although I thought the same thing when I downloaded the SmartGlass app and started playing Minecraft, it would defeat the purpose of in game maps. If you lose your map due to your untimely demise, you wouldn't have to go through the trouble of crafting a new one and getting all the materials because you would have a better one right on your mobile device. I was thinking a synced up clock. Instead of those ones where you have to press a button at the perfect time, it would know the exact time in game. that way you would know what time it is in game exactly. Maybe even a way to paint your own pixel paintings into the game, allowing you to design it on your smart phone and place it. Or you could place a second set of quick access items there such as food so that you could use it quickly when needed if your bar is filled with other things.
I'm totally against something like this that gives an "advantage" to certain players. Some of you have a smart phone. So? What about those that don't? Are you gonna want smart phone-capability built into all the other games now? It's bad enough that we "have" to buy DLC to be "competitive", I'll be darned if I have to go out and get a smart phone too.
And I don't fall for that "you don't have to use it if you don't want to" line- that's just a cop out.
Oh well, we don't have to worry about it- cause it will never happen anyway.

That literally makes no sense. You're just mad that you wouldn't be ale to use it if it did happen.

nobodys getting any kind of "advantage." Personally, i think it'd be more of an effort to put down the controller to pick up another device and change your inventory on that rather than pressing Y. While "you don't have to use it if you dont want to" is usually just a cop out argument, i feel like it's a pretty solid one here. having an entire separate device to view your map/inventory IS pretty much stupid, but its not going to give anyone that uses it any sort of "advantage," especially in a game that's not normally competitive.
P.S. you dont actually need a smartphone for smartglass, it works on iTouches, which i know is still another thing you have to pay for, but they're MUCH cheaper than smartphones, especially in the long run.
Been awhile since this was brought up and now, with the Surface running Windows RT and Forza Horizon showing what it is capable of, I would like to see this added on as an optional thing. Of course I would rather see The End and fight the Ender Dragon, but if they could tack this on, even for just a map or inventory, that would be great. I use the Surface in my lap while I play Horizon and it works great, no problem at all.

Anyone who doesn't know about smartglass should read up on it here first.

or here
Imagine being able to pull up your inventory on a phone or tablet to quickly and easily move your items or view your map in the palm of your hand.
I personally would much rather have this than any Kinect functonality.
Any other suggestions?
