Has anybody noticed the lack of changes to the weather in this Minecraft 1.8.2? I must have played my world now for about 20 hours. It has rained once in all of this time during the night. Nothing else weather wise.
Wow you are lucky, We have a house in a forest covered in snow, that constantly snows, a couple of blocks are grass and it rains there. Its weird when you walk around the house to hear rain and see snow lol. the Thunder is really loud underground too lol.
I am guessing that weather is truly random... Most of mine tend to be heavy on the rain/snow side. Would be nice to have one that didn't rain so much...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I was on my creative world with my pixel art and Spencer Mansion and 1/5 of the mansion burned down and 2 of my pixel arts burned down due to the most epic Lightning Storm ever. There was lightning coming down all around me, literally.

Not advertising another thread but you may be experiencing the same issue only your biome may have been turned into a desert biome randomly. If I'm understanding the issue everything would look the same but it wouldn't rain any more.

Lightning does not strike in desert biomes.
Was thinking of Taiga biomes actually. Lightning can strike in deserts where there is no rain.

It rains and snows on my worlds all the time. I have no lack of weather at all. It's the same as it was before the update for me.
I've not 'seen' any thunder storms yet, as they've only happened when I've been underground. At one point, I was near bedrock (lv3), in a mine that I had dug, no holes to the sky etc, just a long winding path down through stone. There was a storm, and it sounded like I was on the surface. Surely this shouldn't happen. seen alot of rain and snow on the surface.

It would be good if it did. . and turned part of the desert to glass.
