So I have been having this issue for quite some time now (since the first major update I believe) and while I've been ignoring it it is kinda bugging me. It is a minor issue with the display. Ever since I played on my the big flat screen in multiplayer mode with my little brother at my moms I have had an issue where I can barely see what item I am currently holding in my hand. Everything in the HUD is in it's proper place, but my hand and consequently my in hand items are almost completely off screen and out of view. Anyone know of fix's for this issue?
I've checked both and they're both set correctly. It's only Minecraft having this issue. Also. I'd say my tv is big enough. It may not be a flatscreen, but it's a 47" so that's also not the issue. :/ Thank you for the answers though.
It has to be either your TV settings or your Xbox settings. I had this problem when I first got the game as well. My TV has 3 screen settings, Stretch, Normal, and Full. I had to switch it to Normal because Full and Stretch cut off part of the screen while playing Minecraft and other games.
I think there might be a post about this in the bug section that had to do with split-screen size ratios. I believe they are trying to fix that for the next bug fix, but I may be wrong.
Is it a wide screen format TV? If not, does the picture display with a black border on the top and bottom (to pick up the right and left edges of the wide screen format or does it fill in the vertical with picture, chopping off the sides of the picture as a result? If it's the latter, there may be a setting on your TV you can change to force it to show a wide screen format inside the older square format.
