Want the most screwed up yet awesome world in 15minutes tops? Here's how!
Simply follow by step by step instructions, and you will have the worlds most messed up world!
1) Clear your cache for the MCXBLA. All the way back to 1.6.
2) Start a new world (DO NOT OPEN ANY WORLDS YOU ALREADY HAVE)
3) Explore as much as you want, make it very little though for best results.
4) Update minecraft.
5) Open the world and explore the rest of the world.
6) Post Results of the most weirdest things
I will not reveal what happens. For it is a surprise! But it is similar to the Far Lands. Very little though,
Couldn't wait! If you do a flat world, but do the steps like this:
1) Create a super flat world,
2) Save and quit
3) Go back to 1.6
4) Explore whole new world
5) Go back to 1.82

Lol, before I even clicked the thread, I knew this is what it was going to be. Yeah, several people have been doing that. Mostly just as an experiment.

i kinda like what it does to unexplored parts of the map. the flat mountains and clashing biomes are cool looking. i've got 3 or 4 maps from before this update that i didn't fully explore. there's a lot of that happening in them.
also! the world in that video LOOKS SO AWESOME. i HAVE TO do that. o:

You have to clear your cache, then play MCXBLA offline. After that you can save your 1.6 world, sign back in, and re-download the update.

and now it won't let me reset my cache. Any thoughts? Maybe im doing it wrong

That's... strange... I think you broke it. xD
Seriously though, that's weird. Try searching it on Google and see if anyone else has had that problem.
I remember on the very first 360 dashboard, clearing the cache was a bit odd. You had to go to system settings, but there was no option for it. You had to hit the triggers and bumpers all at the same time or something along those lines. Something like that anyway, I remember for a fact the triggers were involved, I just don't remember the other buttons. Clearing your cache shouldn't delete dashboard updates though. :S
Didn't work for me. I created a superflat world with the seed "Professor Layton". Saved & exited. Cleared my cache, went back into Minecraft offline. console froze loading up the world. Rebooted & tried again. Console froze. Rebooted & tried again. Loaded up my newly created world. Completely different world loads up. More trouble than it was worth.
well it loaded, but it asked me if i want to overwrite it, ( i was doing superflat thing, or trying to atleast) so i did one yes and one no
, they both like created a new world for me.

Yup, same thing happened with my world. & I don't need to do it the other way because my survival world is already messed up because I left parts of it unexplored for the new structures.
Actually you should, clear cache, load old version offline, create a world, then open the world with new version.
They did it wrong some how, it works for me.
