Ok, I have a question about the damage radius of TNT.
I read somewhere, a while back, that TNT makes a blast of 3 blocks 'cubed' (27 blocks). I have experimented with them, but the result always seems to be different.
Originally, I made a hold, 2 block into a mountain, the second block from the ground, placed the TNT in and lit it. I thought this would make a 'tunnel', 3x3x3 blocks. But it didn't. It made the 'hole' huge, about 6 blocks high by about 7 wide.
Then I decided to place 2 blocks high, on open ground, and placed the TNT on that. When it went off, it didn't make a crater. It left one block still on the floor.
Then I wanted to make a slime farm, so placed TNT in a set pattern, about 7 blocks from each other in all directions. My thinking was that when they went off, they would make a nice square ish room. But the result was unbelievable. It was like an A-bomb going off. Some places had craters, some didn't.
Is there a set 'limit' on the damage, or does it depend on whether the explosion is 'confined' by other blocks. Also, is there more damage depending on the amount of TNT used?

Dirt/Gravel/Sand will all blow up easier than stone/cobblestone.
Sorry, should have said that. lol
It was cobblestone. Sorry, stone.
