Hi, first off thanks to 4J for making Minecraft happen on the 360. But, I was wondering how much of the PC content will we get?
I am looking forward to the breeding of animals, enchantments, villagers,anvil, and a whole lot more.

What do you guys think?

That might not happen.

4J have said they're going as far as 1.2.3 then they're sitting down with Mojang to find out what to do with the Xbox 360 Edition. They want to make it different from the PC after 1.2.3.

I am hoping all, but arcade games have a limited amount of free updates M$ allows. After the free updates are put out the game developers have to pay M$ to have any more updates put out. So I am really afraid that we(xbox players) will get the short end of the stick when it comes to Minecraft Updates. Because with 4J saying they want the xbox version to be different in some ways, they may just stop updates after 1.2.3 and make DLC for all future updates after. That way we get updates and 4J doesnt have to pay for them if they are in the form of DLC.

4J would still have to pay Microsoft to put out DLC. I'm prety sure that $40,000 charge is for anything and everything that is put out onto Xbox Live, be it patch or DLC.

It wouldn't really matter though if the DLC was priced well and people bought it. They'd make up that $40,000 in no time.

we will be getting everything you listed there (i think) but 4j wants the xbox edition to go its own way after 1.2.3

Thanks for all the input I didn't know about the charge for testing. I would pay for DLC tho. I hope we get everything the PC gets. I broke my arms when I was 8 and over the years it hurts to hold a mouse for long periods of time. I like the 360 ver. due to voice and the controller. I wish the PC had controller support. :/

I do play the PC ver. sometime just not as much as the 360. Thats why I asked the question.

You can play the PC Minecraft with a controller, it's just semi-complicated to set up.

I know this is the 360 ver. I don't want to get in trouble for asking but, could you send me a PM on how to set that up?

Well I hope we get some of the cool things like Emeralds and witches and stuff too. There are many ways to go into a different direction and still add stuff the computer updates get. It will be pretty tough on the xbox people seeing all of the new updates and not getting a lot of the cool ones so hopefully that wont happen and we will get the cool ones too.

I hope so too. the update we have now is great don't get me wrong I just hope it gets some of the updates that the PC ver. got.

As far as I know, Microsoft charges everyone.

Theo only people it wouldn't make sense for them to charge are developers that they own, like 343industries.

Whilst Microsoft can make money of a product they will continue to support updates for it. Considering the amount of dlc there could be for minecraft I would say there's a good happy future for us.

I hope so. Also in the PC ver. they have cats I am not sure what update that was for the PC but, I hope we get them.

Afaik Ocelots will be in the 1.2.3 update
