Just got a structure that they cant escape from (4 walls 2 blocks high or fences work) and alls youll need to do is start collecting eggs. Once you get around 3-4 chickens in your coup you'll be able to really get your chicken farm going.
After you get about 16-20 chickens you'll have a constant supply of eggs coming in. With those eggs you can make cake and have a steady supply of chicken meat coming in

how do i do it ?
Or possibly sooner if 4J decides to do a smaller update in between 1.8.2 (which we just got) and 1.2.3.
