For example: on farming it only shows eggs, wheat, brownshrooms, sugarcane, milk, and pumkins. Do cacti, melons, etc still count towards it or no? I know its silly, but I'm curious.
I think some of the leaderboards should be changed , either add more objects to the board like they dont show how many Iron, Coal, Diamonds, etc.. are mined, but they show sand and cobblestone? In my own opinion I would rather see how many iron/coal someone has mined rather than sand or cobblestone.. or even obsidian..

Well if unlisted stuff is in fact not counted, then they should add all the farmable items and a lot more blocks/creatures to the other categories.
I never really cared for leader-boards, not just in minecraft but in general for all games. Until one of my friends commented to me that I was doing extremely well on minecraft. So I checked, and sure enough I was in the top 100 on Hard mode for Distance, Kills and Mining. Well after that, I took an interest in the boards and found myself checking it just about every time I loaded the game. Well shortly after that, the Piston Update hit and my stats were reset. It was a bummer to see, but ‘oh well, what can you do?’ right? Well, as the weeks passed. I got up there again. This time in the top 500 for Kills and Distance Traveled (Which makes sense, I all but stopped mining like I use too, because I was way to busy playing with pistons in my laboratory.) Then; de’javu, this most recent update hit and again all of my states were reset, but this time they were only mostly reset. They didn’t just zero out completely like before, instead they retained a few thousand in each category to show that “I had played a little”, and in some cases even added several thousand to things I know for a fact I had never done. For instance Mining thousands of pumpkins or mushrooms. At that point, the truth behind these “boards” was clearly irrelevant. What ever fact they depict now or in the future, will never actually be a true representation of what has transpired. Ignore them. Way too much inconsistent to matter.

Yeah I'm pretty much the same. I've never cared about leaderboards but then I was in the top 10,000 on everything which was kinda fancy. I don't really care persay, it's just sorta fun. I've had my stats reset 2-3 times as well, but my one friend didn't really get reset.

Retired StaffWell they could be counted but just not shown due to a lack of room.
but thats just in my opinion
