Built a slime farm and I often find myself with giant slimes that I can't kill! I have trapped them in glass, but I can't touch these guys! Anyone else run into these? Also, do you find that breaking up the giant slimes with dirt blocks instead of swords yields more slime balls then with swords? Maybe it's just me....

What is happening is you are not close enough to his the center of the slime. Try getting closer and punching right in the middle! Hope it helps!

If you place down a 1 block tall wall and attack them from the other side, it tends to work for me every time. Large slimes can't jump up a block.
And yes, if you attack with something that does less damage, you'll get a better chance of more slimes.
