no texture packs or anything, really now? i mean why the f would i tell that 1000th tweet will be special, its just a f-ing regular skin pack AGAIN! i dont care about my skin,while skins only change me which can be free in pc texture packs change everything!

People took the word special and ran with it. Just like they do every other time 4J releases some kind of info about Minecraft. They never stop to look at things or think. They just assume.
Hmmmm.. Gay. The charity part is cool but the 1000th post thing got my hopes up for a few things, they should consider a fully functional skin editor, i'd pay like five bucks for it.. Like eight$ tops. It feels cheap having to use skins everyone else is using, I want to make my own one of a kind skin :b
I can see 3 skins already there that i'd use. This looks like the best pack of all already. Halloween + Me = Instant buy. I love this holiday, Not to mention it goes to charity. 160 Points is not a lot but it will help anyone in more need of it than you.
Ahah! I made a thread a while back explaining a glitch when I cleared my cache and my character had a cape on made out of bars it looked like. I said that future skins might feature a cape and everything just said "No its just because it was in the original mc"
Everyone has on these forums has such high expectations with everything. You guys couldn't have possibly thought that they were gonna announce something huge right after an update. You should have expected something Halloween related, it only made sense.
I think people are missing the point of the skin pack. Everything earned is going to charity, and it is a good cause. To be honest, I'm buying it just for that reason.
A skin pack is a skin pack, I buy anything these guys put out for minecraft.
But the proceeds going to charity is grand for me. Who knows how much of the money will actually go to said locations but its enough for me to buy it for sure.
A lot of these posts are so selfish. 4J has been doing a great job with Minecraft and the fact that all money will be donated to charities makes it 10x more awesome. Maybe people should stop being so entitled to what 4J releases. This will be the first skin pack that I will be buying just because the money will be donated to charities. Plus, that pumpkin head guy on the left is sick.
meh, I was expecting skins... whenever a game company has "special" or "amazing" news its rarely ever anything special or amazing. but at least it goes towards a good cause and we finally get some quality skins.
also why are people excited about capes? they're not that cool... I can see the appeal on the pc version because of the exclusivity but anyone will be able to have them on the xbox version, provided they bought this skin pack and possibly any future "special" skins that include them.

Well, to be honest, from an unbiased standpoint skins would be the least significant feature in Minecraft. They do have the smallest effect on the game out of any other alterations or add-on. Not saying they're bad or useless or anything. But, they don't have much benefit compared to other "mod" style features.
Lighting updates. Pig snout protrusion. Skeletons with full sized bows. Rain edges.
