Hello everyone, I am new to Minecraft & only got it because I saw all my friends on Xbox playing it and they said I should get it so I did and I am on creative mode and I want to make something but need a fence post.

Could someone tell me how to make a fence post or where it is because I can't find it anywhere.

I was hoping to use the fence posts then place some netherrack on top then set it on fire to create a street light effect .

There is no fire. You set the Netherrack on fire with Flint and steel.

People in this forum can be a bit rude sometimes, so I suggest you use the wiki, at least for questions like this. It works for pretty much for everything, except release dates, haha.

yeah, the tutorial will help you get used to minecraft A LOT. i came in completely blind to what minecraft is and the doing the tutorial really helped.
