I'm playing on a map where I can switch from creative to surival mode. I made a portal in creative and tried to light it and it would not work. I changed over to the surival mode and tried to light it again, still would not work.
Only thing I can think of now, which kinda came to mind now is destory the one I made with the creative mode, and change to surival mode and find real Obsidian blocks for it?
Well that's odd cuz i made a few nether portals in creative mode myself and they
work fine. the only thing i can think of is to make a new world and try building one there to see
if it works. or double check your build to see if it is right or not (I'm not saying you don't know how to
make one) cuz i sometimes build mine to big or to small.
It might be too big or too small. Check the size of it. If it's not 4 wide and 5 tall, you built it wrong. If you built it with those dimensions, and it still doesn't work.....then I'd restart the world.
