I have found some hidden chests and got some Pumpkin and melon seeds. I grew my Melons and thought when I harvest them it will also give me some seeds but it didn't.
Should this be the case? can you only get seeds by finding the chests?
You can craft the individual melon slices into seeds.
This. Harvest a melon, collect the melon slices, press X to bring up crafting screen (you don't need a crafting table to make melon seeds). You'll see melon seeds on the food tab.
apparently you cant do the same thing with pumpkins yet =\ does anyone know when they added the same feature for pumpkin seeds? with the crafting table breaking them down n stuff. its kinda lame that im stuck on this skyblock i made with only one pumpkin growing ~_~
You could always break the Pumpkin stem and hope to get more than 1 seed back..
ha i didnt think about it at first, had to use 2 extra bonemeal but the 3rd dropped 3 seeds total, that or the 2nd dropped 2 and didnt notice then got a nother. maybe i should get some sleep, had to take the wife to the airport at 4am =\

would have been nice, guess i can deal with my 30 melon plants and 1 pumpkin for now lol
