I don't know what it is, but when it comes to building, i don't think i've built anything just on its own. By that I mean, I enjoy sculpting houses out of a cliffside or making a house from an already hallowed out cave. I don't think I've ever just built a house on open land before. Maybe it's just me, but I'm hoping theres someone out there who does this too
I love making sandstone and building into a desert hill it looks so nice, especially on the texture pack i use
Perhaps this should be redirected to a PC forum since this is the XBLA version and we dont have texture packs.
That being said I usually roll with the terrain. I know a bunch of people like flatland but I do prefer building into the terrain and with the hills, It gives everything a more realistic look imgo ;3

I play on both Xbox 360 and PC, mostly Xbox since i like to sprawl out on the couch with the controller instead of slumping over at my PC
Edit: Oh no i was just stating the sandstone looks nice on the texture pack on my PC, but whether its my xbox version or PC i love building into the terrain it looks nice as you said, either that or im Horrible at building houses on flatland, looks like something from the 3 little pigs

Oh, okay lol. I was going to say, if you were using a texture pack on the Xbox version I wouldn't even mention it on this forum. They're pretty strict about that kind of stuff here.
I like to do that on survival cuz it saves a lot of resources. lol Actually thats all I do is look for a cave or cliff face that peeks my interest and then go to work.
With the new update, there's SO MUCH CLAY i'm currently in a temporary small cobblestone structure, collecting resources that you go mining for and clay. Once I have enough clay I plan to build a giant mansion on top of a mountain made of bricks. I will have all kinds of farms surrounding the mountain.
It's going to be awesome
