My 2 maps I've been working on since may and I went to change the name of one and my other one disappeared? Then today I went to change a name and the other disappeared? Not even on my hardrive anymore even though I never erased anything!!! Really super angry cause I've been working on those 2 maps forever and now I'll have to start all over which I don't think I will cause I've spent months of my life on this game and now it's just gone! I'm done with minecraft! Has this happened to anybody else? And I want a freakin refund!!

Well I can guarantee you that no matter how much you kick and scream you won't get a refund.

I've never heard of this bug, and I'm sorry it happened to you, but this is why it's recommended that you back up your worlds. It's possible that the bug is simply hiding them from you, meaning they're not actually gone, but that's pure speculation.

And just like above, you won't get a refund. It even says it when you buy it.

I honestly think it's unlikely, but a bug could mean anything; you might as well keep some hope.

Check your Hard Drive or whatever you use to store your Minecraft saves. If it isn't listed there, then it's gone for good.

Lukesteegaming, that's exactly wat happened! Andi checked my hardrive and it wasn't there so it must be gone, I was kinda joking bout the refund part.

I would rage if that happened to me. But, stuff like that has happened to me before. I would probably use creative to get myself what I had before.

Eh, false hope's better than no hope in a matter like this. Sorry to hear it, but at least you've gained some wisdom out of the experience.

This has also happened to me. Renaming seems to overwrite a different map than the one that was selected. Luckily I only lost a testing map.

I know! I lost a Jurassic Park map! It was huge!! If anyone wants to help! I'm not good with building huge things like Dino's

ru that out of the loop how many people has reported this issue? Did u not hear of this bug before bc its always being covered up? if so then fcking 4j wont be able to fix this
