yea we should be able to break it cause im making a skyblock map and its not gonna be as good because everything will just be glowstone but it needs to be THE VOID i hope they will change this in the next update
I don't think that they should make it so you can break the bottom layer of bedrock at all. Personally I'd like to see one step better and have the option for a 'Void' world just like there is a 'Super flat' option.
That's ingenious! I can't believe no one has thought of it before. That would make a great alternative for those of us playing the 360 version. On PC you can use MCEdit or WorldEdit to quickly clear those bottom few layers. But us, we kind of get jipped, so that solution is perfect.
Exactly! Let's be honest, the xbox is never going to see anything even close to MC or WorldEdit so we're going to be missing out on a pretty big option that the p.c version has.
Obviously there would have to be some bedrock to initially spawn on and place bricks off of, but apart from that a complete void world would be sweeet.
This is a bit off-topic, but I think a WorldEdit style DLC is a possibility. It may not be the most popular DLC request, but there are still a lot of people who would like to see it. Something like MCEdit though would be a major undertaking that might not even be possible on the 360 console. Even if it was, I'm not sure it would be profitable enough for 4J to even consider it.
Either way, we need some way to get rid of this gertdern bedrock! >=[ Give in to our demands, 4J! We will resort to guerrilla tactics if need be...

It would be great for people who wanted to make space themed adventure maps and also those who want to use it for skyblock survival.
Now should someone create a poll for this idea and/or should we keep discussing on this topic?
I have found 2 natural void holes in my 1.66 map, you used 2 be able to fall through it and it would freeze your xbox, but now you just stand on it. So either way, it doesn't matter
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
It doesn't make much of a difference, but skyblock is played with the void "open".
