But that "crispness" is the point- HD is what allows you to see the split-screen halfway decently instead of it looking like you have cataracts.
So a (very) few are griping that they can't play split-screen on their (years old) SD sets. Even if 4J downgraded the program so those few (out of millions) could use their old sets (4J won't), those same people would then gripe that split-screen looked like garbage. What's funny is they're reading/replying to this on a PC or laptop with a LED/LCD display. (Did you know that Best Buy, Staples, or Office Depot don't even sell CRT's anymore?)
oh yeah i know 4J would never downgrade it... I just live with what i have personally. Get things when I can afford, or spare that kind of money, but with tight budgets it would take a while for one to get such an low cost model. It is not as simple as saving each month or paycheck, as that would probably take quite a while when things are tight. For me it may be a long time before i even consider buying one. I just have no use for one, as I have a tv. I can still play games on, although I actually liked my commodore64 moniter better, that I actually don't have with me since it is on the other side of the country in storage at the moment...lol
Oh i know what they sell... I'm not so old that I am on retirement funds... However i do agree with mostly what you said, beyond the way I see things... This will be the last post in this topic as I am tired of bumping and almost half repeating myself.... even if I half agree with both sides... ><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
you know its making me angry people saying 'oh yeah just go out and buy a HD tv out of nowhere' the problem is not all families have the money to get HD tv's and like my family none of us have jobs because we hardly get any money and none of us have time to get jobs. my point is all of the people saying just go out and get a HD tvare all spoilt little mummy's boys because you've got to live with what you've got an you have to learn to deal with what you've got. I have'nt got a HD tv because our family dont have enough money. so just deal with it!
5 people live in my house. Only 2 of those 5 are employed. Our rent is $1500 a month. 3 of the 5 people have to pay for gas and other car related things. They also have bills they pay, including some very high medical bills.
We still own 3 HDTVs. It is as easy as people are making it sound. Unless you have zero income, which if you did I'm not sure how you're accessing the internet or even live in a house/apartment, you can afford an HDTV. $120. That's it. I'm unemployed and could get $120 in about a week, if not less.
Well, I think they(4J) realize they made a crappy decision with the HD only split screen. But whats done is done. Lets just move on and accept that us SD owners will never get to play splitscreen.
Yeah, i am sure they realized that after selling over 5 million copies. They must be feeling horrible about that decision.

If your financial situation is so bad how and why did you buy a 360 and a game for it. I am pretty sure too that is not the only game you have for your 360. I feel bad for families who have it rough but not when I know they blow it on buying video game systems and games for it. I am sure all those costs could have fed a family of 6 for at least a month.
Also, i don't get the line you said "none of us have time to get jobs" HUH? But you got time to play video games. It sounds like you don't really get the meaning of life that much.
I don't begrudge anyone for putting priorities before games.
Folks, split screen is horribly hard to read on a 60" HDTV. I can only assume that the resolution difference would make it hard to get the menus to fit on SD splits.

Into your life it will creep. It starts when you're always afraid. You step outside, the creeper comes and blows you away.

Yes, because making suggestions & recommendations to other people is forbidden, and we should know everything about your family's financial state. Also, everyone who owns an HDTV is a mommy's boy who has been sheltered for their entire lives. It all makes sense to me now, oh yes.
I think the only reason Mojang limited the splitscreen to HDTVs was to sell more HDTVs...I seen HDTVs and I say they aren't better than my SDTV from Emerson...as long as your TV is Big enough and has good enough quality there should be no excuse why an "Xbox Arcade" Title that is a game made of pixels should not allow the bare minimum 2-player splitscreen...look at Total Miner from indie game...no HD needed...you can play Borderlands the pre-sequel splitscreen no HD no prob...heck lets go all the way back to Nintendo 64! you can play Hexen with 4 players...there is only one reason people will have trouble viewing the game...the Blackbars! just change your system to widescreen and fixed...works with Terraria and Splatterhouse when playing the classics...a TV does not factor in the Virtual Memory...if it does than the HDTV is doing something wrong because it has always been about the console since well ever because a TV is not a computer monitor...an HDTV unfortunately is a glorified computer monitor, someone should make a mod for Minecraft360 to always allow splitscreen no matter what...dang money grabbers

And I thought I was an old fogey.
The SD folks can't win this one.

Are you suggesting there's a difference.?
